Private Lessons for Enrichment and Discovery
Are you curious about painting with encaustic? Are you looking for a new enriching creative experience? Wether you are a beginner or a professional working artist- there is a workshop for you. I look forward to welcoming you to my painting studio to share the knowledge and skills I've gained over my 25+ year career as a professional medical illustrator and fine artist working across multiple mediums. Class sizes
I work with a maximum of two adults per class at my private painting studio in Winston Salem. This setup enables me to give you with close feedback and instruction in a safe working environment. Ample parking is available as are private overnight accommodations for those coming from out of town.

Beginning Encaustic
Learn about the history, the materials, safe studio set up and then go "hands on". To get a feel for this luscious medium. You will be closely supervised in the art of paint application and fusing.

Encaustic
Mixed Media
Students will learn about the process of photographic embedding, image transfer, and the use of pigments to create rich and color and unexpected results. The emphasis is on exploration. Beginning encaustic is a prerequisite.

Portfolio Review
We'll review how your work meets your goals and closely examine surface quality, composition, cohesion, and intention.

1.5 hour initial consult, 1.5 hour follow up. In person or zoom.
